Girls’ Generation’s YoonA recently responded to playful rumors accusing her of having “Center Syndrome” a tongue-in-cheek term used to describe idols who allegedly feel the need to always be in the center during group performances or photos.
The buzz was reignited after fellow member Tiffany Young jokingly claimed in a past YouTube video that “YoonA has a condition where she can’t survive unless she’s in the center.”

On August 4 KST, YoonA appeared with actor Ahn Bo Hyun on the YouTube show Zzanbro Shin Dong Yup, where the topic came up once again. Co-host Jung Ho Cheol teasingly asked, “Are you okay with your seat? You’re not in the center today,” to which YoonA calmly and humorously responded, “I feel very comfortable.”

When reminded of Tiffany’s viral comment, YoonA laughed and clarified, “There’s no such syndrome. When I saw what the unnies said, I just thought, ‘Oh, they’re just being funny for the show.’” She then joked, “Let’s just say this seat is the center today.” Host Shin Dong Yup joined in on the lighthearted exchange, quipping, “If it starts to feel like you’re dying, we can switch seats.”

Tiffany previously addressed her remark in a Boogle Boogle YouTube appearance, explaining it was just a joke, and cheekily added that it’s actually Sooyoung who “wants to be in the center and proudly admits it.” The entire interaction has since drawn laughs from fans, putting to rest any serious speculation and highlighting the group’s ongoing camaraderie and good-natured teasing.
