YG Entertainment has unveiled its lineup of activities for the rest of 2025 !

At midnight KST on August 18, the agency released an announcement video in which founder Yang Hyun Suk detailed comeback plans for TREASURE and BABYMONSTER, as well as updates on BLACKPINK’s long-awaited album.

First up, TREASURE will return with their mini album “LOVE PULSE” on September 1 at 6 p.m. KST. The release will feature four tracks, including the title song “PARADISE.” The announcement video concluded with a preview of the group’s dance practice for their B-side “EVERYTHING.”

BABYMONSTER’s comeback schedule has also shifted. Originally slated for October 1, their new mini album will now drop on October 10. While “HOT SAUCE” was initially planned as a pre-release track for the album, it will instead remain a standalone special summer single. The upcoming EP, titled “WE GO UP,” will include four brand-new songs, with the title track of the same name.

Yang Hyun Suk further revealed that BABYMONSTER has already wrapped up filming for their new reality program “BAEMON HOUSE,” reminiscent of BLACKPINK’s popular series BLACKPINK House.

As for BLACKPINK, he confirmed that the members and their producers are currently immersed in preparations for a new album, adding, “I’m hoping BLACKPINK’s album will be released by November at the latest.”

On the morning of August 17 (KST), BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook surprised fans with a short seven-minute livestream on Weverse. Filmed at the beach, the broadcast captured the group’s playful mood and lighthearted interactions.

Jimin, fresh from a swim, appeared shirtless next to V, while Jin still dripping wet was pulled into a hug. Jungkook handled the camera, showing the members’ relaxed energy. RM reassured fans with, “We’re doing well,” and Suga added, “I’ve been working hard on album production.”

Jin, who recently wrapped a fan concert tour in Europe before joining a songwriting camp in the U.S., greeted fans warmly: “I’ve arrived in America safely and met the guys again.”

The group’s reunion follows major milestones earlier this summer: RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook completed their military service in June, Suga was discharged from alternative service, J-Hope wrapped his solo concerts, and Jin concluded his tour. Now gathered in Los Angeles, the members are focusing on new music.

“We’ve been working non-stop, and today’s our rest day,” RM explained. Jungkook joked, “It’s getting a little tiring,” while Jimin admitted, “Working six days a week with only one day off is tough.” J-Hope echoed, “We’re really just working.”

Adding humor, Jungkook quipped, “I thought things would feel completely different here in the U.S. and they are but it still feels like a factory.” Jin playfully teased, “Since I joined later, I expected something special. But really, it’s just waking up, exercising, going to the studio, eating, and sleeping.”

On August 15, BLACKPINK’s Lisa shared a series of intimate photos on her personal social media with the caption, “Still dreaming.”

The images captured tender moments with Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi, including the two lying side by side on a bed, brushing their teeth together in a playful video, and a black-and-white shot of them embracing. Lisa was also seen taking candid photos of Sakaguchi, showcasing their warm chemistry.

Lisa and Sakaguchi previously worked together on the short film for “Dream,” a track from her first full-length album Alter Ego, where he portrayed her past lover.

It seems NewJeans and their agency ADOR have once again failed to reach a settlement.

On August 14, the Civil Settlement Division 41 of the Seoul Central District Court held a mediation session for ADOR’s lawsuit against Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, seeking confirmation of the validity of their exclusive contracts.

Minji and Danielle attended in person, briefly apologizing before entering the courtroom. The closed-door session lasted about an hour and 20 minutes, but ended without an agreement. The court has scheduled a second mediation for September 11, with a ruling to follow on October 30 if talks fail again.

The dispute dates back to the dismissal of former CEO Min Hee Jin in August last year. In November, NewJeans announced they were ending their exclusive contracts with ADOR, rebranded as NJZ, and vowed to continue activities independently. In response, ADOR sued to affirm the contracts’ validity, claiming the group had terminated them unilaterally. In January, the court granted ADOR’s injunction to preserve the agency’s rights and block the members from pursuing independent advertising or promotional work.

While ADOR insists the contracts remain binding and hopes for a settlement, NewJeans maintains that trust has been irreparably broken and has no plans to return.

Yuqi of (G)I-DLE is preparing for a much-anticipated solo comeback.

On August 12, Cube Entertainment told Dispatch, “Yuqi is currently working on a new album, aiming for a September release. Please look forward to it.”

Yuqi made her solo debut last year with her first mini-album YUQ1, earning critical and commercial success. The release sold over 550,000 copies in its first week, ranking third in K-pop female solo history for highest first-week sales and setting the record for the best-selling mini-album by a female soloist.

Earlier this year, she dropped the digital single Radio (Dum-Dum), blending hip-hop and R&B with her signature low-register vocals. As a songwriter and producer, Yuqi has contributed to both (G)I-DLE’s albums and her solo work, as well as collaborations like her June project with Nows.

Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE will perform at Japan’s largest music festival, SUMMER SONIC 2025, on August 16–17.

New photos of ASTRO member and actor Cha Eun Woo at the Republic of Korea Army Training Center are making waves among fans.

Shared on August 13 KST in the “Trainee Sketch” section of the center’s official website, the images capture Cha in formation with a focused gaze, slightly sun-kissed skin, and a disciplined posture. Even in uniform, his sharp, well-defined features drew admiration.

Cha Eun Woo enlisted on July 28 at the Nonsan Army Training Center in South Chungcheong Province. After completing basic training, he will serve in the Army Band. A day before enlistment, he revealed his freshly shaved head during a livestream his shortest haircut since early childhood admitting it felt strange but expressing optimism about his military journey and promising fans he’d return in good health.
