Starting August 26, foreigners who wish to purchase homes in Seoul, as well as designated areas of Incheon and Gyeonggi Province, will be required to obtain local government approval and live in the property for at least two years.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) announced that all of Seoul, seven districts in Incheon including Jung-gu and Yeonsu-gu and 23 cities and counties in Gyeonggi, such as Suwon, Seongnam, Goyang, and Yongin, have been designated as foreign land transaction permission zones.
Under the new rules, foreigners must move into the purchased property within four months of approval and maintain residency for two years. If violations occur, local authorities will issue compliance orders within three months, with repeat offenders facing fines of up to 10% of the property’s acquisition cost until the obligation is met.

Yoon Ji Yoon, member of the girl group IZNA, has officially departed the group due to health reasons.
On August 19 KST, her agency WAKEONE released a statement: “After lengthy discussions and careful consideration, Yoon Ji Yoon has decided to end her group activities to focus on her health.”
They explained, “Since the start of this year, Ji Yoon has been concentrating on rest and recovery. During that time, she and the company discussed her future in depth. Ultimately, we agreed that prioritizing her well-being was the best decision, bringing her team promotions to a close.”

On August 19, the YouTube channel Entertainment President Lee Jin Ho released a video titled “Shocking Exclusive, Trainee Contract Revealed: The Truth Behind Harin’s Exit from the NewJeans Debut Team.” The video presented Harin’s official trainee contract with ADOR, signed on January 7, 2022, by Harin, her parents, and Min Hee Jin.
