A representative from BRANDNEW MUSIC addressed the situation on August 6th, stating, “The police are currently investigating. We respectfully ask the public to avoid speculation until official findings are released.”

Industry insiders noted that Lee Min had remained active in her career. In June, she released a single titled “Happy Birthday” and made a guest appearance on Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile, signaling a fresh wave of activities. A close friend of the late artist expressed disbelief at the news, saying, “She was such a positive soul. She had just resumed her music and seemed genuinely happy.

It still doesn’t feel real.” Another acquaintance shared, “I saw her just last week. She was always so sincere and dedicated, balancing both her music and her role as an instructor.”

Lee Min made her debut in 1999 as one half of As One, known for hits like “For You I Long and Resent,” “Day by Day,” “Don’t Be Silly,” and “Am I the One Who Should Apologize.”

The duo earned widespread recognition for their emotional ballads and harmonies, leaving a lasting impact on the Korean music scene.
