It brings a bittersweet note to the excitement surrounding KickFlip‘s return, but health is always the top priority.
On March 2, JYP Entertainment released an official statement via the group’s social media channels, confirming that member Amaru will be unable to participate in the promotions for KickFlip’s upcoming 4th Mini Album.
According to the agency, Amaru requires time to focus on treatment and rest to ensure a full recovery from health issues. After thorough discussions with his fellow members, the difficult decision was made for him to sit out this comeback cycle.
KickFlip is currently on track to release a pre-release single on March 9, followed by the full drop of their 4th EP on April 6. During these promotions, the group will operate as a six-member unit consisting of Kyehoon, Donghwa, Juwang, Minje, Keiju, and Donghyeon.
In their statement, JYP Entertainment apologized to the fans who were looking forward to seeing the full lineup: “We sincerely apologize for any concern this news may cause to fans who have been looking forward to KickFlip’s new album activities. As this decision was made with the artist’s health and recovery as our top priority, we kindly ask for your understanding and continued support.”
