First-Generation Beauty YouTuber Daddoa Passes Away at 29

The beauty community is mourning the loss of popular YouTuber Daddoa (Lee Da Sol), who passed away at the age of 29.

According to her agency, Leferi, the creator died on December 16, though the news was only recently made public. In a statement, the agency honored her legacy, describing her as “more than a first-generation YouTuber” and a “pioneering figure who was among the first to prove the global potential of K-beauty.”

Respecting the bereaved family’s wishes, the cause of death has not been disclosed, and the agency has requested that the public refrain from speculation.

Born in 1996, Daddoa began her career as a blogger before launching her YouTube channel in 2014. She quickly gained over a million subscribers and expanded her influence across Asia, particularly in China. In 2021, she had paused her online activities to focus on her academic studies. Fans have since flooded social media with condolences, expressing their sadness and gratitude for her work.
