Lim Ji Yeon and Heo Nam Jun have officially been cast as the main leads of SBS’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Brave New World,” set to premiere in 2026.
Directed by Han Tae Seop and written by Kang Hyun Joo, Brave New World follows a twisted love-hate story between Shin Seo Ri, a legendary villainess from the Joseon era, and Cha Se Gye, a ruthless modern-day chaebol heir.
In a bold new challenge, Lim Ji Yeon will take on dual roles portraying Shin Seo Ri, a struggling actress possessed by Kang Dan Shim, the infamous femme fatale once executed during the Joseon Dynasty. Reborn in 2026, Kang Dan Shim awakens inside Seo Ri’s body, sparking chaos in the modern world.
Heo Nam Jun will play Cha Se Gye, the arrogant successor to the powerful Cha Il Group, known for his cold, abusive nature. The story begins when Shin Seo Ri suddenly appears before him, wearing a shaman’s hanbok seemingly straight out of the Joseon era.
Both actors are known for their powerful villain roles Lim Ji Yeon in The Glory and Heo Nam Jun in Your Honor and their intense chemistry is already being hailed as the drama’s biggest draw.
