Son Heung Min nets first U.S. goal with stunning free-kick in just his 3rd MLS match

On August 23 (local time), LAFC star Son Heung Min scored his debut goal in the United States during an away game against FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium. Just six minutes into the first half, the forward struck a powerful right-footed free-kick into the left corner, opening the scoring for his team.

This marks Son’s first goal in Major League Soccer, coming only three matches into his U.S. career. After registering his first assist in the previous game against the New England Revolution, Son has now followed up with a goal and another Player of the Match honor his second consecutive game earning the title.

Deployed as the lone striker in LAFC’s 4-3-3 formation, Son continues to prove his impact, quickly making his presence felt in MLS.
