As reported by Sports Kyunghyang, Kang Seo Ha died on July 14 after battling a chronic illness, reportedly cancer. Her funeral wake has been arranged at Room 8 of the funeral hall at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, with the funeral scheduled for July 16 at 7:40 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Haman, South Gyeongsang Province.

Following the news, a memorial tribute was shared on Kang Seo Ha’s Instagram. The post begins with the heartfelt message, “Unnie, I hope you are free from pain and only happy where you are. I miss you so, so much. You’ll forever be in my heart. I love you,” and features a video montage of her photos. Fans and colleagues have filled the comments with messages of sorrow and remembrance.

Kang Seo Ha graduated from the Korea National University of Arts’ School of Drama and made her debut in 2012 through the music video for Brave Guys’ “Farther Away.” She went on to appear in various dramas including JTBC’s Schoolgirl Detectives, Assembly, Through the Waves, Flowers of the Prison, First Love Again, and Heart Surgeons.
