Moving away from traditional studio teasers, ILLIT embraced a deeply relatable and immersive aesthetic for this comeback. The members self-filmed the highlight medley video entirely on their smartphones.
The visual perfectly captures modern youth culture through familiar concepts. Fans can spot the girls filming self-makeup “GRWM” (Get Ready With Me) routines, sharing adorable moments with pets, and making casual video calls.
Exploring Bold New Musical Genres
The fourth mini album promises an exciting sonic evolution, exploring genres like techno, alternative pop, and drum and bass. The title track, ‘It’s Me,’ dives straight into a bold techno sound layered with powerful beats.
Lyrically, the lead single captures a highly relatable modern dating experience. It focuses on the complex feelings of trying to define a relationship right after a first date.
