Get ready, K-drama fans! 2PM’s Hwang Chansung is stepping into the ring for his highly anticipated, first-ever action role. He will star as the fierce ‘Tae Geom’ in the explosive second season of Netflix’s hit series, Bloodhounds.
A Brutal New Underground World
Bloodhounds Season 2 is raising the stakes with an adrenaline-pumping new plotline. This time, fan-favorite characters Geon Woo (Woo Do Hwan) and Woo Jin (Lee Sang Yi) must face off against a ruthless global underground boxing league. It is a dark, gritty world driven entirely by money and relentless violence.

From K-Pop Idol to Action Star
Director Kim Joo Hwan personally recruited Chansung for this dynamic new season. The idol-turned-actor felt the pressure following the massive success of Season 1, but he was more than ready for the challenge. To prepare, Chansung brilliantly leveraged his iconic acrobatics experience from his time with 2PM.

Intense Jiu-Jitsu and On-Set Safety
Bringing Tae Geom to life required an absolutely grueling physical training regime. Chansung’s intense preparation for the action-heavy role included:

- Mastering complex jiu-jitsu submissions like the demanding flying armbar.
- Utilizing his foundational taekwondo skills to enhance fight choreography.
- Undergoing rigorous physical conditioning for the underground boxing scenes.
Filming for this action-packed season took place between mid-December 2024 and late June. Despite the brutal nature of the on-screen fights, the production team prioritized actor safety above all else.

The cast and crew focused heavily on tight choreography coordination and total injury prevention. In fact, most of the terrifying weapon sequences were safely executed using soft rubber knives to protect the stars!
