HYBE has confirmed that ‘Dark Moon: The Blood Altar,’ created with ENHYPEN, will premiere as a 12-episode anime on January 9 in Japan through major broadcasters such as TOKYO MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV with a global release on Crunchyroll.

The project first drew major attention last September when Aniplex announced production, marking the company’s first anime based on a Korean music agency’s webtoon IP. Renowned studio TROYCA joined the animation team, raising expectations even higher.

Before the official launch, a fan-only pre-screening of Episodes 1 and 2 will take place on December 28 at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku, with appearances from ENHYPEN and the six Japanese voice actors behind the vampire characters.

HYBE shared that the adaptation represents a major milestone, expanding a K-pop created universe into webtoon and anime formats developed in Japan, offering fans a vivid new way to experience the Dark Moon storyline.

‘Dark Moon: The Blood Altar,’ an urban fantasy teen romance about seven vampire boys and one girl, connects directly to ENHYPEN’s music universe. The webtoon has surpassed 200 million views, and its sequel, ‘Dark Moon: The Two Moons,’ recently topped global charts, confirming the franchise’s rapid growth.

BTS’s RM has issued an apology following his viral livestream from earlier this week.

On December 8, RM posted on WeVerse, sharing a photo and addressing the controversy surrounding his recent broadcast, in which he openly discussed BTS’s struggles including moments when the group considered disbandment. While many fans appreciated his honesty, others criticized the comments as unsettling or inappropriate.

In his message, RM apologized for worrying fans, explaining he was feeling frustrated at the time and now regrets turning the livestream on. He added that he will focus on music, choreography practice, creating new content, and taking better care of himself.

RM also shared small updates from his daily life preparing for his driving test, watching films, and getting ready to move back home after completing interior renovations. He ended by reminding fans to stay warm in the cold weather.

Both left farewells for fans: Jungwoo released his first solo single, “SUGAR,” while Doyoung shared a heartfelt message before enlisting.
With their enlistment, they join Taeyong and Jaehyun as the next NCT members currently serving.
