Jung Kyung Ho panics at a surprise “marriage date” question

Actor Jung Kyung Ho was caught off guard at the Pro Bono press event when a joking question about a “date” came up.

During the livestream presentation for tvN’s new legal drama, the cast and director introduced the series, where Jung Kyung Ho plays Kang David, a star judge who suddenly falls from grace and is forced to join a public-interest legal team.

As the event wrapped up, MC Park Kyung Lim teased him for “issue-maker–worthy news,” and he shyly insisted he had nothing to reveal. But when the director jokingly added, “At least a date,” Jung Kyung Ho panicked especially since he’s been publicly dating Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung for 14 years.

Flustered, he quickly shut it down, joking instead about the drama’s premiere date and his birthday, earning laughs from everyone.

Yeri (Red Velvet) set to lead the webtoon adaptation

Red Velvet’s Kim Ye Rim (Yeri) will star in the upcoming drama “Azure Spring” (literal title).

On December 2, a local media outlet reported that she had been cast as the lead character Anna, a haenyeo (female diver). Her agency Blitzway Entertainment later confirmed, “Kim Ye Rim will appear in Azure Spring.”

Adapted from the popular webtoon, Azure Spring is a heartwarming human drama about Deok Hyeon, a man stuck in the past, and Anna, a job seeker afraid of the future. The two become a haenam (male diver) and haenyeo, entering the ocean with nothing but their own strength. Through diving, they rediscover purpose, reopen their long-stagnant hearts, and regain the warmth of living within a community.

Yeri plays Seo Anna, a former national youth athlete whose career ended due to injury. After her dreams collapse, she returns to her mother’s hometown, where she meets Deok Hyeon and begins to build a new dream.

BTS’s Jungkook is now the first K-pop soloist to surpass 10 billion streams on Spotify

BTS’s Jungkook has reached a remarkable new milestone.

He is now the first K-pop soloist to surpass 10 billion streams on Spotify across all his tracks, achieving this feat on November 25.

His first solo album, GOLDEN (Nov 2023), has already amassed over 6.4 billion streams, with every track surpassing 100 million streams individually a testament to his global popularity.

Jungkook continues to break Spotify records for K-pop solo artists. His single “Seven (feat. Latto)” topped Spotify’s Top Songs Global chart, becoming the first K-pop soloist to do so, with nearly 16 million streams on its first day. The track later ranked 3rd on Spotify’s Most Streamed Songs of Summer 2023 and now holds over 2.6 billion cumulative streams, a record for a Korean artist.

Additionally, “Seven” has spent 123 weeks on the Weekly Top Songs Global chart, marking the longest run for any Asian solo artist. It currently sits at nearly 2.7 billion streams on Spotify.

With this latest achievement, Jungkook continues to cement his global presence and redefine K-pop solo success.
