Soyou has recently opened up about her weight loss journey and the challenges she has encountered.

On November 27, she uploaded a new video to her YouTube channel. After going viral several times this year for her dramatic transformation, Soyou decided to share the methods behind her diet along with some of the downsides she experienced while losing so much weight.

She began by mentioning that many of her clothes have become too loose, to the point where she now has to get her pants tailored so they still fit. Although these alterations can be pricey, she considers them worthwhile as “a sign of commitment to maintaining her current physique.”

Soyou also disclosed her InBody test results, which came with a few surprising findings. The test a body composition analysis measuring fat and muscle mass showed that back in July, she had lost a significant amount of muscle alongside body fat, leaving her in a “thin and weak” state. The results shocked her and motivated her to work out harder to rebuild muscle. By October, she had increased her muscle mass while reducing her body fat even further.

She added that contrary to what many believe, she doesn’t actually like being extremely skinny. “I only lost weight because of the album promotions for ‘PDA.’ But I keep losing more… it’s becoming a problem, haha.” She explained that she never intended to drop below 50 kg (110 lbs), yet recently discovered she now weighs 49 kg (108 lbs).

Soyou then shared some habits that help her maintain her weight. Her top advice? “Consistent workouts, especially cardio.” She regularly exercises for about three hours. Regarding her diet, she made a surprising confession: “I eat whatever I’m craving. I don’t have a diet plan.” Her real strategy, she said, is portion control and limiting herself to one or two meals a day. “I keep dinner light and focus on eating breakfast and lunch.”

She also said she doesn’t believe in cheat days, claiming they often derail people’s progress. “You get a huge surge in appetite because dieting makes your food choices repetitive. When I used to give myself cheat days, I ended up losing all control. Now, I just eat what I want but stop eating once I’m no longer hungry.”

Overall, Soyou feels the effects of losing weight are mostly positive, though sometimes unsettling. “I’ve been getting dizzy often, and my orthostatic hypotension has gotten much worse. That’s why it’s important to take supplements and eat plenty of nutritious food.”

Online communities lit up with excitement after it was revealed that the BTS member — one of the industry’s most sought-after faces has been chosen as the new ambassador for the luxury hotel and casino in Incheon.

To celebrate the partnership, Paradise City released two short films. In the first, V appears as a sanitation worker, sweeping the hotel grounds while listening to a cassette player.

Viewers follow him through the property as he casually dances to retro music.

The second film shows V as a suave high-roller, perfectly embodying the campaign’s slogan, “win your day.”
